Synesthesia

For over a year now, I've been on a journey of discovery around a gift I found out I have: synesthesia. This neurological phenomenon allows me to perceive music as color, taste, scent, texture. Music, for me, is never just music. 
I always had this feeling — this sense that what I was experiencing was bigger than sound — but I could never name it, until someone told me that's what it was.

You've followed every step of this journey with me. You know what it means. And in many ways, you were the first people I ever truly shared it with.

Blaze of Glory - multisensory artwork

The first public step was Blaze of Glory — a one of one multisensory artwork I created with visual artist Jesperish. Music, painting, and scent. A song that became a whole world. I got to share that world with strangers in Milan and Florence, and watching them experience music the way I always have — as something so much bigger than sound — was one of the most moving moments of my life.

But as you know... it always starts with a song.

Before the painting. Before the perfume. Before the collaboration and the stages and the crowds. There was just me and the guitar, in a room, and a melody that arrived carrying colors and flavors I couldn't yet explain.

Tomorrow at 11:30 AM CET, I am releasing that moment.

Blaze of Glory — The Origin is a full length acoustic performance video, filmed in Nashville in collaboration with London-based Sound Stream Studios.
The medium that connected me to you in the first place — to those who don't need color or scent to feel it, because they already do.

It will be available on Manifold for $20 as an open edition, minted on Ethereum.
It will also be streamable on YouTube on the SoundStream Studios channel.
I haven't released an affordable collectible in a long time. This one I wanted to be yours. Collecting The Origin means owning a piece of that first moment — the vibration that set everything else in motion.
The spark before the world it became.

Collectors will also have a way to experience the one of one Blaze of Glory fragrance we created. More on that soon. 🌿

This is only the beginning of where the synesthesia journey is going — and I want you there for every step of it, all the way to the symphony stage.
